Asiri Group, achieves a paradigm shift in Hematology analysis

Being at the forefront of providing total solutions in IVD, BIO Medica was blessed with the first installation of Mindray CAL 6000 Hematology cellular analysis line in the island’s private healthcare sector.

CAL 6000 is the new generation cellular analysis line which was installed at Asiri Central Hospital. Thus enabling Asiri Central to take their Hematology analysis capabilities to the next level for improved patient care. The project was successfully completed on the 1st week of December 2020, allowing the hospital to benefit from the cutting-edge Modular technology of Mindray.

The CAL 6000 is one of the latest Hematology analyzers of Mindray, and the very first of its kind to be installed in Sri Lanka’s private sector.
The analyzer enables full automation in Hematology analysis combining two units of BC-6000 or BC-6200 auto haematology analyzers and a unit of SC-120 Slide Maker & Stainer. It is also equipped with 3 loading platforms and 3 unloading platforms with large capacities, delivering a throughput of up to 220 tests per hour and 120 slides per hour. With inbuilt “two-way loading” technology, the analyzer is also known for its ability for smart distribution of workload and enhanced efficiency and productivity.
